A Customer In Every Room
Why customer signal that lives in a survey is dead, and what changes when the customer has a structural seat at the table.

A customer ran into a problem with the product on a Tuesday morning. They wrote a quick message to their CSM. The CSM said "let me look into it." Three weeks later the CSM logged it in the customer feedback system. Two weeks after that, a product manager skimmed the queue. Six weeks after that, it made the roadmap for the next quarter. Four months after the original Tuesday, the fix shipped. The customer churned in month three.
This is how most companies handle the voice of the customer. They handle it. They have a function for it. They have a survey program, an NPS score, a quarterly review. They mostly mean well. The signal is also mostly dead by the time anything happens with it.
The customer's experience in your product is not a survey result. In this architecture, the customer has a seat in every room where decisions about their experience get made.
